Case Study: Reduce Downtime for Tortilla Ovens
Background
A bakery that distributes Mexican food products was looking to replace an existing grease that lubricates conveyor chains in a tortilla oven with an NSF H1 Registered lubricant. This oven continuously operates at 300°C. The company was experiencing downtime every other week due to the conveyor chains getting gummed up and having to be replaced. The assembly includes five chains that never leave the hot zone. The company contacted one of Nye's affiliates to sample NSF H1 lubricants.

Solution
Synthetic Oil 250
Medium viscosity oil that is safe for use in food processing areas.
