Fishing for a Cause 2017

Nye was a proud sponsor of the seventh annual “Fishing For a Cause” fundraising event that supported the Schwartz Center for Children. A team of five Nye representatives competed in the catch and release fishing tournament that started at Pope's Island Marina in New Bedford and covered fishing grounds from Cape Cod Bay to Block Island.

The tournament participants competed in the Striped Bass, Fluke and Bluefish categories, in which our very own Rich Belizzi placed first in the Bluefish competition with a 31.5” fish!  The Schwartz Center for Children is a non-profit organization that supports children with special educational and developmental needs across Southeast Massachusetts. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the fishing tournament and the Seaside Dinner benefited the center.
