Why NyeCorr® 140 is the Best Corrugating Grease in the Business
Corrugated cardboard packaging is one of the most economical, rugged and environmentally sound ways to ship goods. Much of the world’s retail commodities, from online clothing purchases to heavy industrial components, are transported in corrugated boxes. The efficient and cost-effective production of corrugated board depends on good lubrication. Without it, the entire corrugating production line would come to a screeching halt.
NyeCorr® 140 is a PTFE thickened, heavy viscosity, completely fluorinated grease formulated specifically for the maintenance of single-facer bearings in the corrugating industry. Why should you choose NyeCorr® 140?
Load-Carrying Ability
Greases with a higher oil viscosity offer a thicker film of oil for greater film strength. This film ensures minimal bearing/race contact to reduce vibration and wear. When the bearing and race are separated with a thick film, the load-carrying capability of the application increases.
High Temperature Performance
NyeCorr® 140 has low evaporation properties at high temperatures and has a recommended service temperature range of -20 to 250°C. Low evaporation eliminates the potential for oil leaks so that smaller volumes of grease are needed. This grease was designed in such a way that its byproducts vaporize during operation to eliminate gummy deposits on the bearing surface which can accelerate wear.
Chemical Resistance
Our corrugating grease can withstand harsh chemicals which enables the grease to resist common solvents and long-term contact with steam and water. This is supported by anti-corrosion additives that protect the metal surface against rust.
Food-Safe
NyeCorr® 140 is NSF H-1 food grade registered for incidental food contact and contains no PFOAs.
Reduce Downtime Costs
Using the correct lubricant for single facer bearings reduces wear to extend the operating life of the bearing, minimizes maintenance costs, and reduces overall downtime costs. NyeCorr® 140 is also one of the most competitively priced corrugator greases in the industry today.
Since its introduction in 1997, hundreds of corrugating plants worldwide have converted to NyeCorr® 140 and realized significant cost savings, while increasing performance and extending maintenance cycles compared to non-synthetic lubricants.
